Shrimp and Prawns
Spectacular, gigantular, super delicious shrimp and prawns!
What's the difference, you ask? Well, both shrimp and prawns are decapod crustaceans, they both behave the same in the ocean, they both taste about the same, and they both come in many sizes including super small and gigantic. But... they are quite different animals overall. Prawns have longer legs, larger secondary pincers, and lameller gills, while Shrimp have larger primary pincers. Prawns are classified as Dendobranchiata, while shrimp are classified as Pleocyemata.
In the end, we classify them as simply "Shrimp and Prawns" together and the same because they're both the same to us on the plate!
